Teacher Educators' Community

This Community of Practice provides a platform for teacher educators to connect with each other, learn from each other, share and co-construct knowledge, seek resolutions to the challenges and issues you experience.

The Community

Teacher Educators work in a variety of settings and contexts - pre-service, in-service, online and face2face. They include teachers who deliver training workshops to their colleagues, teachers who mentor new or less experienced teachers, full-time teacher trainers and senior education consultants. This community aims to connect teacher educators with each other in order to support and learn from each other.

Getting the most out of the community

An integral part of building a community is keeping in contact and discussing issues connected to teacher education. Every two to three months we will explore a different theme. There will be forum discussions, a webinar, resources to explore the topic further and Teacher Educator Activity Groups (TEAGs).  These are online get-togethers to share experiences and ideas on the current topic.  We use ZOOM, a web application that allows multiple people in different locations to meet online. Look at these tutorials to familiarise yourself with how Zoom and the Community site works.
